Registration is open for The 26th Annual Treasury of Knowledge retreat, to be held virtually Nov. 13-15. The Contemplative Resource Center and Nalandabodhi Texas will present this teaching and meditation retreat on The Medicine Buddha: Intrinsic Health and Healing.
Our world is experiencing widespread suffering and an uncertain future. For many, it has been difficult to find a sense of grounding and inner peace. The need for healing has never been greater.
Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche will teach on the Medicine Buddha practice, held to be extremely powerful for healing on physical, emotional and spiritual levels. He will share the key, essential points of view and practice related to this precious set of contemplative teachings.
Rinpoche will be joined by Acharya Lhakpa Tshering, Mitra Tyler Dewar Mitra Lee Worley, and Dr. Phil Weber.
This practice for pacifying physical illnesses, calamities, and the purification of negative karma has been relied upon since the 7th Century in many different Asian traditions of Buddhism.
It is held to be extremely powerful for awakening the innate healing powers of the mind and is used for transforming physical illnesses, altering emotional disturbances and purifying negative karma.
Invoking the Medicine Buddha creates a bridge from illness to wellness, and when we practice in community, the bridge strengthens and supports our path.
Both Buddhist scripture and modern neuroscience agree: our minds create our experiences of joy and suffering.
