Sangha Retreat 2026 Review & Meditation Series - Nalandabodhi Seattle

Sangha Retreat 2026 Review & Meditation Series

Sun., August 2, 2026
8:00 am - 9:15 am

Nalandabodhi Karunikas are organizing a post-sangha retreat series to review Rinpoche’s teachings during Sangha Retreat 2026. We hope you can join us in contemplating and meditating on what we heard during retreat!

Karunikas will lead a review for each of Rinpoche’s teaching sessions including contemplations for the main points and quotes. Then in smaller breakout groups, the discussion will open for sharing. Participants will discuss what was personally salient in that particular session from their own experience and ask questions based on their own notes or experience during the review. The larger group will come together at the end in case any questions bubble up and we will dedicate the merit together.

Facilitators

Nalandabodhi Karunikas who attended Sangha Retreat 2026 are volunteering to help lead these sessions.

The “Karunika” title: In 2021, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, with the support of the Nalandabodhi Acharyas, Lamas, and Mitras (the most senior group of designated teachers in Nalandabodhi), appointed over eighty long-time students to serve in a newly created supporting teacher’s role to assist in guiding our sangha members and to help share with the general public Nalandabodhi’s unique approach to spirituality. The Sanskrit term “Karunika” means “one who has compassion.” Possessing a wide range of backgrounds and sets of individual expertise, as well as formidable experience in the study and practice of the Buddhadharma, the Karunikas offer programs on themes connected to the paths of study, meditation, and mindful activity and on the “five fields of knowledge”: healing, the arts, language and communication, logic and epistemology, and the inner science of mind.
