In Wild Awakening, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche presents the heart essence of two great practice traditions  – Mahamudra and Dzogchen. Mahamudra refers to the unfabricated and unconditioned wisdom nature of mind. Dzogchen refers to the primordially awake mind. These two streams of wisdom are regarded as possessing great blessings and transformative power.

Please join Kris Shaw as he helps students explore and discuss the clear and concise writing by Rinpoche about these two great traditions.  As The Dalai Lama writes in the Foreword to the book, “His thorough account of these marvelous traditions will be a valuable source of inspiration and clarity to many readers”.

Kris Shaw has been a member of Nalandabodhi and a formal student of Ponlop Rinpoche for over twenty five years. Over the years, he has served as facilitator for Nalandabodhi classes and as a Nalandabodhi Seattle Sangha Director, along with Nick Vail. Kris is a licensed attorney and has been a Public Defender in King County for many years. He has two daughters ages nine and six and loves music, especially the Grateful Dead.
