Nalandabodhi Seattle Monthly Practice Day
Onsite in the Mahabodhi Shrine Room – not offered on Zoom
Saturday, November 18, 12:30 – 5:00 pm (Pacific Standard Time)
Practicing together with our sangha family is a precious opportunity. For the past two years, these opportunities have been limited. In addition to Sunday Open Meditation, we hope to offer members a practice day the third Saturday of each month. In November we will come together for meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva.
The practice day will begin with opening chants and a recorded teaching by Mitra Dean Tyler Dewar on the meditation practice centered on the symbolic deity of Vajrasattva, a figure invoked in order to help practitioners connect with a sense of guidance and inspiration, particularly in relation to the purification of negative actions and obscurations of mind.
The teaching will be followed by two practice sessions. Our schedule is as follows:
12:30 Opening Chants
12:45 Recording of Teaching
2:15 Practice Session
3:15 Break
3:45 Practice Session
4:45 Closing Chants
This teaching and practice is open and appropriate for all levels of study and practice. All participants are encouraged to register and volunteer for an activity.
