Losar Celebration

The year of the water tiger will soon arrive! Nalandabodhi invites all sangha members to attend our annual Losar festivities, which include in-person events Feb. 2 at Nalanda West – a morning practice and a later reception for sangha members and their families.
Jan. 29 – 31: Teaching and pre-losar chants, online 5-7 p.m. each day (pacific)
Our celebration begins Jan. 29 with an online teaching by Mitra Lee Worley. Her teaching will be followed by protector chants, which continue on Jan. 30 and 31. Sangha members should receive the registration link and password in an email from Nalandabodhi International. 
 
Feb. 2:  Losar Practice onsite at Nalanda West, 8-9:30 a.m. 
Nalandabodhi Seattle members are invited to join a Nalandabodhi International online morning practice in the Mahabodhi Shrine Room. The 8-9:30 a.m. practice will be broadcast on a monitor, allowing sangha members to practice together.  Participation will be limited to 20 members, so register early.  Use this link to reserve your cushion:  RSVP Onsite Practice
 
Feb. 2:  Losar Practice online, 8-9:30 a.m. (Pacific) 

Nalandabodhi International will host an online morning practice starting at 8 a.m., with the Losar liturgy and a recorded message from Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche. Sangha members should receive the registration link and password in an email from Nalandabodhi International. 

Feb. 2:  reception at Nalanda West, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
The morning practice will be followed by a reception at Nalanda West. No reservations are necessary for the reception.
This gathering will be an opportunity to see our sangha family and wish all a good new year. We also will provide offering bowls in the Mahabodhi Shrine Room for those wishing to make a new year’s gift to our precious guru and our other teachers.
COVID protocols
For all activities onsite at Nalanda West, health protocols for COVID will be observed. Masks (no cloth masks please) and physical distancing.  Doors and windows will be open. We ask that all attendees be vaccinated in accordance with the most recent CDC guidelines. King County now requires that we confirm vaccination status.

Nalandabodhi Seattle invites you to join us for Sit & Stretch on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:00–8:00a to ease into the practice of sitting meditation by gently waking the body and warming up the muscles. Through mindful movement and basic yoga, we will train in the suppleness required to sit comfortably so that our meditation can accomplish the goal of completely taming our minds.
