A weekend with Jim Scott
Friday, February 3, 2017
7:00–8:30pm
Saturday and Sunday, February 4 & 5, 2017
10:00a–4:00p (lunch break, 12–2p)
Khenchen Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche’s legacy is an embodiment of the teachings of the Buddha, who realized the potential present in every sentient being and then gave extraordinarily detailed instructions on how we also can accomplish this.
At the express request of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, Jim Scott, who is among Khenpo Rinpoche’s earliest circle of western students, comes to us from the island country of Denmark with an enthusiastic wish to share with us the teachings and songs he and his fellow students have received through the kindness of his teacher.
Jim would like this weekend program to mainly be a celebration of the bliss so skillfully penetrated in the songs of realized yogis like Milarepa, Gotsangpa and Self-Liberated Great Bliss (Khenpo Rinpoche).
There will probably be some explanations – who knows? If there are, they will be drawn directly from the words of Khenpo Rinpoche as found in recordings where he explains Milarepa songs, like Eight Kinds of Mastery, which is The King of Yogis’ insight into what freedom is. Yes, Jim would not be able to resist presenting that. And maybe a few surprises.
